If you need more information on our wedding please contact our wedding coordinator Julie Pryor of Pryor Events.

Air Travel

If traveling by air please select Burbank (BUR) or Los Angeles Airport (LAX). Burbank, a regional airport, is closer to the wedding location and may be less expensive for travelers on the West Coast. We recommend you rent a car during your stay. Limited shuttle service will be provided to the wedding location from the hotels listed below.

Special Airfare Discounts

American Airlines and Midwest Airlines offer wedding discounts on airfare. American offers a 5% discount off the lowest applicable published fare (except "Q" and "O" rates). The discount code is A9257AQ. Midwest offers a 10% discount for airfare purchased 60 days prior and 6% for airfare purchased within 60 days of the wedding. The discount code is CMZ3783 and can be used at www.midwestairlines.com/weddings.

Sunday Brunch

Although there is not a formal brunch planned, we will be brunching at the Mediterraneo restaurant at The Westlake Village Inn at 10am Sunday. If you would like to join us, please send us an email and we will include you in the reservation.

Activities

If you have some extra time in Los Angeles before or after the wedding you might want to spend some time with the following activities. Our favorites are in bold.

Entertainment

  • Universal City: Flashier and glitzier than the WB tour, but more touristy.
  • Warner Brothers: Ride in a stretch golf cart around the WB lot. More intimate and you spend all your time seeing a "working" lot.
  • Disneyland: One of Tom's favorites, but probably very crowded.
  • Hollywood/Highland: This is about as touristy as you can get in LA. The Hollywood and Highland building is home to the Oscars. It is also home to a wide assortment of crazy people, street performers and bums.
  • Mann's Chinese: Next door to Hollywood and Highland. The courtyard in front of the cinema contains cement hand and feet imprints of stars from today and days gone by.
  • Star Walk: All those "Hollywood Stars" that get installed have to go somewhere. Here's where they are!
  • Ripley's Believe It Or Not: Kitschy, touristy, Hollywood. Down the street from Hollywood and Highland.
  • Rodeo Drive: The uber-shopping destination in LA.
  • Sunset Strip: Immortalized by stars over the past several decades.
  • Arclight Theatre: If you want to see a movie while in town, this is the place to do it! The best sound and projection in town. You get an assigned seat, there are no commercials, and they will kick you out if you so much as THINK about using your cell phone. Next door is Amoeba music - one of the largest music stores around.
  • Silent Movie Theatre: This is the only silent movie theatre left in the US! Every show includes live music.

Historical

  • Adamson House: Beautiful house on the beach featuring original pottery from the 1920's.
  • Olvera Street: The birthplace of Los Angeles. Slightly touristy, but good Mexican food.

Cultural/Museums

Beach

Generally, if you point your car west, you will eventually find water. However, here are some beaches you might enjoy.

  • Sightseeing
    • Venice: Built at the turn of the 20th century by Abbot Kinney, this quirky area is his version of a modern-day Venice. There are canals to stroll along, shops to wander through and bistros to visit.
    • Muscle Beach
  • Relaxing
    • Point Mugu: Great hiking. Perhaps the oldest known trail in the world (over 3000 years old!)
    • Zuma Beach
  • Third Street Promenade: This is an outdoor, pedestrian only area of Santa Monica. Dotted with eateries, independent and chain stores, topiary dinosaurs... A great place to spend an afternoon and to people watch! 3 blocks from Google.
  • Santa Monica Pier: A few blocks from 3rd Street Promenade. You can take a stroll down the pier, ride the roller coaster or go for a leisurely spin on the Ferris Wheel.
